Women in Research (WIRe) Adds Naomi Grewal, Ph.D. to Global Advisory Board

March 11, 2026

March 11, 2026 — Los Angeles, CA — Women in Research (WIRe), a global nonprofit advancing diversity and inclusion across the full spectrum of research disciplines — including market research, CX, UX, data science, and analytics — today announced the appointment of Naomi Grewal, Ph.D., Director of Research at LinkedIn, to its Advisory Board.

Naomi joins an esteemed group of industry leaders: Anne Brown (Gazelle Global Research Services), Eileen Campbell (former Global CEO of Millward Brown), Mario Carrasco (ThinkNow), Emma Cooper (System1 Group), Liz Granahan (Sync Research Group), Tiama Hanson-Drury (Opus 2), Alex Owens (former Unilever), Elaine Rodrigo (Reckitt), and Lisa Wilding Brown (InnovateMR), completing WIRe’s steering committee for the upcoming term.

“Naomi represents exactly where our industry is headed,” said Kristin Luck, Founder of Women in Research. “WIRe has always been committed to serving the full ecosystem of research professionals — and that means expanding our community beyond traditional market research to include CX, UX, data science, and the many disciplines that now shape how organizations understand and act on insight. Naomi embodies that broader vision. She bridges disciplines, translates complexity into strategy, and elevates research as a core driver of innovation and business growth. We’re thrilled to have her perspective shaping WIRe’s next chapter.”

Naomi Grewal, Ph.D., has led research, insights, and analytics organizations at global technology companies including LinkedIn, Meta, Pinterest, Uber, and Workday. She partners with executive leaders to position research as a strategic engine for product innovation, business performance, and organizational effectiveness. Her experience spans consumer insights, people analytics, data science, and UX and product research — reflecting her belief in “Big R” Research as an integrated decision-making force across product, marketing, talent, and business systems.

In addition to her industry leadership, Naomi serves on the applied psychology faculty at the University of Southern California, where she teaches business psychology at the master’s level. She is a passionate advocate for advancing women into research-adjacent leadership roles and speaks openly about leading with epilepsy, championing greater visibility for invisible disabilities in high-performance workplaces.

Naomi’s appointment also marks a moment of transition on the Advisory Board. Michelle Gansle is stepping down from her role as she pursues new directions outside the industry. WIRe celebrates her many contributions during her tenure — from her steady counsel to her genuine commitment to the organization’s mission — and wishes her all the best in the exciting path ahead.
