Women in Research expanded their leadership team, adding new Community Engagement Specialist Gabriella Gugliotta in March 2022. Gabriella will assist with maintaining WIRe’s online social presence and outreach to the community.

Gabriella has a background in Market Research and graduated from Drake University with a BA in Law, Politics, and Society with a concentration in Leadership Studies. She is the recipient of the Newman Civic Fellowship and has been an active participant in her community with organizations such as The Community Action Board, La Fuerza Latina, Big Brother Big Sister, Habitat for Humanity, and STEM mentoring in Des Moines Public Schools. Her passion for justice lies at the crux of sustainability, equity, and community-building. Gabriella is a proponent of life-long learning and enjoys delving into new challenges such as cooking unfamiliar dishes, learning Python, and exploring her new hometown of Cambridge, Massachusetts.
