Bend, Oregon, 10th September — Women in Research (WIRe) has announced the winner of the Best Places to Work award, naming Opinium Research in first place and acknowledging Breaking Blue as runner-up.
The Best Places to Work Award was created by WIRe, Logica (formerly Koski Research) and Keen as Mustard Marketing to celebrate companies in the market research industry who put the lives and livelihoods of their employees at the center of all they do. The award pays specific attention to criteria defined by a global research study as a means of acknowledging companies and organizations who strive toward a more equitable workplace and industry.
The award judges noted that Opinium Research stood out from the other shortlisted companies due to their organizational emphasis on schedule flexibility as well as a fair and supportive corporate culture. Their multi-generational, collaborative ethos brings together team members and ideas with both traditional and innovative values, creating an enjoyable work environment for everyone.
Opinium’s attitude on workplace flexibility is not only built into the company’s framework but is also apparent in every day working life for all employees—a quality highly desired by respondents to the Best Places to Work study that informed the award criteria.
Kristin Luck, WIRe Founder, said, “It’s exciting to see the momentum behind this annual award as we enter its second year. We had so many outstanding submissions, with companies throughout our industry excelling at the criteria set forth by the award— most notably our two top honorees, Opinium and Breaking Blue. Opinium’s focus on attracting, retaining, and investing in their employees is best witnessed by their shared employee equity model and emphasis on intentional, sustainable growth. I’m hopeful that the policies and programs they are employing today will be standard in our industry in years to come.”
James Endersby, Chief Executive of Opinium, says “We’re absolutely delighted to have won this WIRe global award that celebrates those agencies that put all of their employees at the centre of everything they do. Our people are our business, they own our business, and we’ve placed them where they rightfully belong, at the heart of our business. All of our colleagues are encouraged to bring their authentic selves to work and our huge focus supporting and championing mental and physical wellbeing means that Opinium is an agency where everyone is supported and enabled to work hard, play hard, learn, develop and grow.”
The winners were formally announced and celebrated at the Best Places to Work Award Ceremony and Luncheon at ESOMAR Congress in Edinburgh, on September 10th.
